Unofficial English translation of NMPA Announcement No. 6 of 2026 (12 January 2026). The Chinese official text prevails.
NMPA announces that 18 standard development/revision projects are incorporated into the Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (2015 Edition). The batch includes, among others, limits on total plate count in eye-area cosmetics, lip cosmetics and children’s cosmetics.
Each of the 18 standards has its own implementation date in the official annex. Do not treat 12 January 2026 (the announcement date) as the compliance date for every item. Open the announcement annex for the title list, numerical limits and staggered apply dates.
