These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of CosmeticsBridge websites, memberships, Workbench, Verify Claim, and related online services (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who may use the Services
The Services are intended for business and professional users (for example brand owners, regulatory affairs, quality, and consultants). You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. Nature of content
CosmeticsBridge publishes regulatory intelligence, dual briefs, tools, and related materials for general professional information. Content is not a substitute for qualified legal, regulatory, or scientific advice tailored to your products, markets, or filings. Official regulatory texts and competent authorities always prevail. You remain solely responsible for compliance decisions, submissions, labelling, and market placement.
3. No attorney–client relationship
Use of the Services does not create an attorney–client, consultant–client, or similar professional relationship unless separately agreed in a signed engagement for professional services.
4. Memberships
- Free — limited access features as described on the Membership page.
- Individual — paid base plan for one named seat.
- Enterprise — top plan with multiple named seats and higher Verify credit pool, as described on the Membership page.
Paid membership checkout is processed via PayPal through our membership system. By completing checkout you also accept PayPal’s terms for the payment transaction. Fees, renewal, and plan limits are shown at purchase. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, membership fees are non-refundable once the period has started. Enterprise invoicing or PO arrangements may be available by separate agreement via Contact.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, non-payment, abuse, or risk to the platform.
5. Verify Claim and credits
Verify Claim submissions and credit allowances depend on your membership tier. Credits may reset on a calendar-month basis as described on the site. Outputs are human-reviewed informational notes based on stated sources; they are not formal legal opinions or guarantees of regulatory outcomes.
6. Services (execution / diagnostics)
Project services (for example registration pathways, diagnostics, or partner-fulfilled work) may be offered under separate statements of work, quotes, or partner terms. Third-party laboratories, toxicologists, or local agents act under their own professional responsibility.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the Services; attempt unauthorised access; scrape or harvest content at scale without permission; reverse engineer non-public systems; share Individual seats as a team login; upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; or use the Services to mislead third parties about regulatory status.
8. Intellectual property
CosmeticsBridge content, branding, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access content for your internal business use under your membership. You may not republish, resell, or systematically redistribute our content without written permission, except for ordinary internal sharing within your licensed seats.
9. User content
You retain rights in materials you submit (for example form text or claim descriptions). You grant us a licence to process that material to provide the Services (including review, storage, and quality improvement). You represent you have the right to submit the material and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.
10. AI-assisted drafts
We may use AI tools to assist drafting or structuring. Published intelligence and signed verification notes are subject to human review processes described on the site. AI assistance does not change Section 2 (nature of content).
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONTENT IS COMPLETE, CURRENT FOR YOUR SPECIFIC SKU, OR FREE OF ERROR.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CosmeticsBridge AND ITS SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICES OR RELIANCE ON CONTENT. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE MEMBERSHIP OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR USD 100 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CosmeticsBridge from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services, your products or filings, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
14. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes
We may modify the Services and these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material membership changes will be communicated where appropriate.
16. Governing law
Unless mandatory local law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of Hong Kong SAR shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer or local rights that apply to you.
