On March 6, 2026, the Provincial Drug Administration organized a symposium in Shenzhen on the special report of the research project on the management and construction planning of cosmetic efficacy evaluation standards. More than 20 people attended the meeting, including relevant heads of the Cosmetics Supervision Department of the National Medical Products Administration, cosmetics regulatory personnel of the Provincial Drug Administration, representatives of industry associations and enterprises, and industry experts.
The participants conducted in-depth discussions on the framework content of two drafts: the five-year plan for the construction of cosmetic efficacy evaluation method standards and the specific project plan for the construction of cosmetic efficacy evaluation method standards for 2026-2028.
The experts present unanimously believed that the project is progressing steadily according to the established plan, the special research work is solid and detailed, and the suggestions put forward are highly targeted, laying a good foundation for the drafting of the above five-year plan and three-year plan. Experts suggested further sorting out the research content, focusing on putting forward specific opinions and suggestions on the classified and graded management and construction planning of evaluation standards for 26 kinds of efficacy.
The meeting emphasized that cosmetic efficacy is a basic attribute of products, and strengthening the management of cosmetic efficacy evaluation standards at the current stage is of great significance. On the basis of fully investigating the current situation of relevant standard management at home and abroad, systematically sort out from the two levels of macro management and specific standard construction, adhere to the demand-oriented and practical-oriented, further improve the research results of the project, and form a five-year plan and three-year plan with guiding significance, so as to provide strong support for promoting the high-quality development of China’s cosmetics industry.
