Recently, the Provincial Drug Administration organized the 2026 Cosmetics Quality and Safety Supervision Work Conference in Qingyuan. The meeting fully implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party and its previous plenary sessions, summarized the cosmetics supervision work in 2025, analyzed and judged the current situation, and deployed key tasks for 2026. The main responsible comrades of the Provincial Drug Administration attended and delivered a speech.
The meeting pointed out that in 2025, cosmetics regulatory departments at all levels across the province performed their duties with dedication, continuously improved technical support and technological empowerment, optimized technical review and filing management, enhanced regulatory efficiency and inspection quality, and achieved positive progress in various tasks. The meeting emphasized that cosmetics regulatory departments at all levels across the province should accurately grasp the new situation and new requirements, effectively ensure high-level safety with high-efficiency regulation, promote high-quality industrial development, and benefit the people’s high-quality life. They should accelerate Guangdong’s leap from a ‘major cosmetics manufacturing province’ to a ‘strong cosmetics manufacturing province’, and strive to push Guangdong’s cosmetics regulation modernization to the forefront of the country.
The meeting also invited experts from China Health Media Group to give a special lecture on cosmetics public opinion handling and other topics. More than 130 people attended the meeting, including leaders in charge of municipal market regulation bureaus, heads of cosmetics supervision divisions (offices), licensing approval and inspection enforcement divisions (offices), relevant departments of the Provincial Drug Administration, various drug inspection offices, and relevant directly affiliated institutions.
