Official English from the European Commission SCCS pages. The Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) provides the Commission with scientific advice on health and safety risks of non-food consumer products (for example cosmetic products and their ingredients). SCCS opinions are published on the Commission’s SCCS opinions page. They are scientific advice to the Commission. Amendments to the annexes of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 are made by Commission regulation published in the Official Journal, not by the opinion itself.
