T-mall issued the “Requirements for the Display of Cosmetic Products Labels”

In China, “Measures of the Supervision and Administration of the Production and Operation of Cosmetics” will be officially implemented in January 2022. The measures set clear requirements on the details pages of cosmetics sold online.

Article 44 of the “Measures” stipulates that: cosmetics operators on e-commerce platforms and e-commerce operators that operate cosmetics through self-built websites and other network services shall fully, truthfully, and accurately disclose the cosmetics labeling which consistent with the cosmetics registration on the main page of their business activities.

Tmall requirements

  1. Please display the front and back labels of the cosmetic products in the main picture of the product list or in the product detail pages;
  2. For combination products, please display the pictures of the labels on the front and back of all cosmetics products.
  3. The platform has added the following new attribute items related to product registration/filing information. Please complete the details according to the actual situation of the products: “registrant/filing person’s name”, “registrant/filing person address”, “Manufacturer name”, “Product standard number” and other information.
